This database and metadata schema was designed by myself over the course of 4 weeks for a project in the Metadata for Interactive Media class I took during my time at the University of Washington iSchool.
This project aims to outline how a database could capture compatibility reports for games and emulators and present them in an easily searchable and user-friendly manner.
As a librarian and casual gamer, I’m interested in video game preservation and emulation. I noticed a lack of high quality and accessible game emulation compatibility documentation available on the internet, and I wanted to build a resource that establishes methods for collecting and maintaining this data.
This is not a finished product, and I hope to develop the functionalities of this website over time.
